Vehicles in German City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Report

Authorities mentioned they were contacted by a individual who noticed a automobile in Hanau smeared with red-colored liquid

Roughly 50 vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Cars, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Officers say they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Police then located multiple other smeared cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under regulations prohibiting the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police report early analysis suggest the substance was likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no clue as to its origin; authorities are currently not aware of any injuries in relation with the event," they added.

Local authorities announced they were working "to solve the case" and have requested to the residents for tips.

A senior representative commented the attack left him stunned and required to be addressed quickly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a shooter focusing on residents of migrant background in 2020.
