Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
